However it is necessary for care and you must be aware of the Heath. A sick Betta is well-to-do to see because of course the fish is very active and alive. If you have been fishing for a time, you’ll be able to see immediately if they are ill.

The following tips able to support you to keep a healthy eco-system Betta and resonant:

1. Zdjelu is a big NOK provide good swimming area is a prerequisite. Fish should be? T bump and wear and fin or scale. NOK large tank also ensures that the water has adequate oxygen level.

2. These fish do not require filtration, but the cleanest water, you need, you could give them. Change the water every three days to make it clean and prevent infections in fish. You add, water to the tank should have found out for 24 hours (at the age of the water).

3. Betts is also known as Siamese fighting fish because the male of the species will fight each different to death! Never put two males in the same tank. Women can be together and the man with numerous wives. You can also keep Betta with algae eaters, guppies, and corydorus som.

4. Make sure the bottom of zdjelu or tank is debris free. You can use something as simple as puran Basta to do clean. Zwieback sitting at the bottom of the water, will make cloudy and unhygienic for the fish. They will also cause the water smells bad.

5. Tank to keep pH 7th

6. During the tank cleaning equipment, avoid using soap because traces of soap will modify the pH of water.

7. Betta can jump out and a glass bottle, so to keep them covered.

8. Betta is not restless and fish to eat and Bett brass and frozen blood worms. However Betts is happy living in the mat as brine shrimp and must be treated as then.
After goldfish, the Betta fish is probably the second most popular fish kept. The Betta Splendens is a favorite because of its beauty, its long fins and because they are relatively easy to care for. The males sport deep beautiful colors whereas the females are less colorful.
It is called the Siamese Fighting Fish because of its behavior towards other males of the same species. You cannot keep two or more males in the same tank. If more than one male betta fish are placed in the same tank, they will fight until only one of them remains. They will flare out their gill covers and erect their fins showing the other fish their fighting posture.

There are ways to see this behaviour without introducing another male. One way is to use a small hand mirror and place it up against the tank glass so that the male betta may see his reflection. He will mistake his reflection as another male and the betta fighting posture should then be displayed.

You can get small betta tanks that come with dividers which will allow you to keep two bettas in the same tank. Many keep them in small bowls and they may live for a while in these small bowls. However, to get the most beautiful colors and optimal health for your fish, they will do better in a 10 gallon or larger tank with a heater that can maintain a constant temperature in the aquarium. If you plan on keeping yours in a small tank, please read the small tank setup page for ideas on equipment needed. Also check out the Betta Tank Setup article written by COBC for the magazine that lists the equipment needed to keep a betta.

Betta fish (also known as Siamese Fighting Fish) are friendly, easy to concern for, brightly colored fish. They can be kept in fairly small bowls or fish tanks and’ll live up to three years of age with the right food and care. Water quality and correct diet are keys to a healthy, long lived Betta.

Step 1

Know that your Betta will not have much of an appetite if his water is cold. Bettas need the water temperature to be stable and above 70 degrees Farenheit. If you keep your house cool, purchase a small inexpensive tank heater to keep your Betta happy and active.

Step 2

Feed her once or two times a day. If feeding once daily, give her what she will eat in ten minutes. For two feedings, don’t give her more than she can consume in a few minutes. Some experts suggest fasting Bettas one day per week, but this is not always necessary.

Step 3

Only buy fish food specifically for Bettas. They will not do well on goldfish or “generic” food, which has lower protein. In the wild Bettas are carnivorous fish and need high protein food. Betta fish food, freeze dried shrimp and bloodworms are all good choices. He will be happier if his diet is varied a little.

Tips & Warnings

- Some aquaria stores sell live daphnia shrimp and bloodworms. Your Betta will be deliriously happy if he can hunt down his own food.

- In warm weather, any standing water in your yard will be full of mosquito larvae. Easy to scoop up with a small fish net, they will provide your Betta with perfect food and lots of fun.

- If you overfeed and uneaten food sinks to the bottom, it is easy to siphon out with a small plastic hose.

- Don’t assume your Betta can live on live plants or plant roots. This is a poor diet for Bettas and she will not live long without proper food.

Adding several beautiful Betta fish to your aquarium’s a great way to liven up that fish tank. However, Bettas able to often be high-maintenance pets. Also known as Siamese fighting fish, these pretty swimmers could be aggressive. They could be very picky eaters. Learning how to feed them what they want will ensure that you have happy as well as healthy Bettas.
Step 1

Give your fish things like insects and insect larvae instead of plants and roots. Betta fish are carnivorous eaters, so they will exclusively feed on animal protein-based foods.

Step 2

Keep your fish healthy by selecting only food specially made for Bettas. The food packaging should make it clear whether it is right for Betta fish or not.

Step 3

Look at the nutritional content when shopping for fish food. A good one will include plenty of vitamins and minerals to keep your Betta healthy.

Step 4

Try out pellet food for your Betta fish. These are easily digestable and contain proteins like fish and shrimp meal as well as lots of other healthy nutrition. Be sure to select a type of pellet that will float easily in the water, as Betta fish are top feeders and will not usually go after sinking food.

Step 5

Select a type of frozen food to offer your Bettas. Frozen and live foods most closely resemble the diet of a Betta in its natural habitat and will typically be the most pleasing to them. One of the most common and fashionable frozen choices is bloodworms.

Step 6

Feed your fish some freeze-dried selections to test their palettes. Freeze-dried red grubs are often a big hit with Bettas.

Step 7

Select some live and fresh foods to keep your Betta’s diet balanced. Some recommended options include Betta fry, brine shrimp, black worms and even hardboiled egg yolks.

Step 8

Stay by the tank and watch your fish as they try out every early dish. Pay attention to the things they particularly gobble up and the things that do not tickle their fancy as much. Make your future dietary selections based on those preferences.

Sure everyone loves Goldfish but there are a similar type of highly colored and active fish that are just as well-to-do to concern for. I’m talking about Betta fish, known as Siamese Fighting Fish. Hailing from the Mekong river in Asia these beautiful fish usually grow to about 6cm in length although some may reach 8cm’s or more. One little known fact is that their natural color is actually a dark green and brown. We see the bright colored ones today simply because of selective breeding by breeders from around the world.

Betta fish are very easy to care for and this makes them a great choice for people who have busy lifestyles and wish to keep pet fish. Below are seven hot tips to keep your Betta fish in tip top shape.

Number 1 – Simple Monitoring

After you’ve had your Betta fish for a while you will soon known their behaviors and activities. You will soon be able to see if your Betta fish are poorly. If your fish seem lethargic measure the temperature of the water. Too cold and your fish will seem listless. The ideal water temperature should be about 28 degrees centigrade (approximately 82 Fahrenheit).

Number 2 – Keep The Water Clean

This may sound obvious to some but your Betta fish need clean water. You shouldn’t need a water filter but try to substitute at least a quarter of the tanks water twice a week. This will insure that it stays nice and clean and will help to keep away any infections. Try not to use water straight out of the cold tap but leave it out for a day at least to let it settle. Be sure to use a PH testing kit (you able to get these from your favorite pet store) and try to keep the PH at around 7.0.

Number 3 – Size Matters!

When choosing a tank make sure it will be large enough for your Betta fish to swim around comfortably. A 20 litre tank is ideal. Sharp rocks and stones should be avoided. You don’t want your pride and joy to rip or tear any of his/her fins.

Number 4 – Keep A Lid On It

Betta fish like to jump! Knowing this try to keep the water level approximately 6 centimetres below the top of your tank. This, along with the lid, should stop your fish flipping themselves onto the table for your cat to find. DO NOT use an air tight lid! Bettas could take oxygen direct from the waters surface so make sure there are good air holes in the lid.

Number Five – Fish Need Friends Too

It is a wise idea never to keep other Betta fish in the same tank. They are not called Siamese fighting fish for nothing! Try not to keep mirrors or shiny surfaces near the tank as they will flare up at the slightest sign of another Betta, even if it’s themselves. Male Bettas tend to be the worst for this type of behavior. It may be fun to watch but completely you will do is stress your fish and decrease its lifespan. You can keep other fish with your Bettas. Loaches, platies (or moons) and Cory catfish are ideal tankmates.

Number 6 – Cleaning

Never (and we mean never) use soap or detergents to clean out your fish tank. Simply use a plastic brush and warm water to scrub any rocks or decorations you may have. To remove any old food from the bottom of the tank try using a pipette or a kitchen baster. This will ensure your tank stays nice and fresh and does not smell.

Number 7 – Food

Your Betta fish will absolutely love live food e.g. brine shrimp or bloodworms. Feeding them live food will keep them active and it is great fun to watch them gobbling them all up. For variety try feeding them on thinly chopped vegetables like broccoli, carrots and soybeans. They will enjoy these just as much as live food. Feeding your Bettas on a wider range of food will help them to live longer.
When you go to a pet store, you’ll find rows of small bowls, every containing one colorful fish. These are male Siamese fighting fish (more properly well-known as a betta) and the way you find them in the pet store’s essentially how they should be kept.

Bettas able to be kept in small containers because they are able to breathe air, like humans, as well as water. Keep the water between 70 and 80 degrees, and don’t let the temperature modify too quickly. Keep the bowl away from appliances that produce a lot of heat.

IMPORTANT BETTA FISH CARE: Only ONE betta per bowl! They’re called “fighting fish” for a reason. They are highly territorial animals and will react violently if two are placed in the same container. You could look the preliminary phase of their fighting, the threat display, if you put a mirror up against the bowl. Notice the raised gill covers, which makes the betta look bigger.

Change the water in the bowl when it starts to look cloudy, about once a week. Let the water age at least 24 hours, to release some of the chemicals. After transfering the betta to a container (with either the old water or the water you’re going to use) clean the bowl with mild soap, and rinse thoroughly. Also rinse any decorations (rocks, shells, plastic plants, etc.) before filling the bowl with the aged water, and releasing your Siamese fighting fish.

The pet store where you bought your betta will have food as well, probably freeze-dried blood worms. Feed your Siamese fighting fish two or three times a day, only what he will eat in a couple of minutes. Overfeeding will make the water cloud faster, and your betta will be more likely to get ill.

One last note: pet stores usually don’t carry female bettas, because they tend to be less colorful and showy than the males. Also, individuals are usually just looking for a nice pet, not a breeding hobby. If this is your intention, then I suggest doing some dangerous research before you start!
